Before we begin a Hands-On Staging Day there are a few things you'll need to do...
* A deep cleaning of all primary spaces. We will be concentrating our efforts on staging the 5 main spaces of the house. The Kitchen with Nook, Dining Room, Family Room, Master Suite and any Bonus space. Pre-deep cleaning will ensure proper use of our time. Keep the vacuum handy for after furniture movement.
* De clutter all bookcases, shelves by 50%. A good rule of thumb would be to remove all softcover books, collectibles, personal pictures and religious items. Leave the items you remove nearby so that we may strategically accessorize with them. Don't forget about cabinets. Buyers WILL go through your cabinets, so lets get them organized as well.
* Have boxes and packing supplies on hand for early packing. This will really come in handy for moving day! Lets get your precious items carefully packed now so they will not be damaged in a rush packing later.
* Complete room painting as suggested at Evaluation. From the evaluation phase, I will have given you suggestions on colors to paint certain rooms, which after proper staging, will really look sharp. We've probably also discussed removing some window treatments and making minor home repairs. Keep freshly laundered window treatments nearby just incase we elect to reuse them.
* Please realize that I'm coming to help you sell your home quickly and that I'm not there to criticize or judge your decorating style. I'm sure it shows off your personal tastes and treasures. Lets work together to get to a more neutral style that the potential buyer can picture themselves in.
